To those in New Zealand, Keep an eye for this cute kid. 2 year old Aisling Symes went missing last monday. The toddler disappeared from Longburn Rd in Henderson where she was last seen with an Asian woman in her 30s walking a dog.It has been in the news coz' it's not everyday a 2 year old goes missing. They live in Auckland but who knows where she is now, it's been a week. Now somebody has offered a $50,000 reward. Sa hirap ng buhay ngayon, naka-tulong ka na, may pera ka pa, by just being alert. Sa ating mga magulang, let's keep a better eye on our kids, lalo na uso ang lakad pa-uwi ng mga bata. Maganda ibilin sa mga bata na don't talk to strangers and if anyone approaches them, mabuti na rin na i-report ito sa mga nakaka tanda.

Ang tagal ko na walng post, busy kc......at wala ng maisulat. Kadalasan nasa facebook? What's new? We have a new member of the family, 3 months old na siya, about 11 kilos na siya, maitim siya? Last thursday, pinasok na namin siya sa school.... Natakot siya, first time kc namin siya nilabas..... pero after 15 mins. ok na siya, nakipag-laro na siya sa iba..... Gusto niyo siya makita..... eto pic niya..... We gave him the name moi....Medyo shy siya, at ayaw humarap sa camera. Labrador ang tatay and sheep dog naman ang nanay. Abangan for more pics.

Govt promises NZers will keep their jobs

Last year 120,000 foreigners had temporary work visas granted.

However, Immigration Minister Jonathan Coleman says with a recession biting and it is time to close the door.

“This Government’s priority is jobs for New Zealanders first,” stated Coleman.

Coleman has demanded an investigation into why 28 kiwis were made redundant from New Plymouth metalwork firm MCK Pacific after boss Promad Khatri changed the visa conditions of six Filipino workers in order to save their jobs.

“If the Department of Labour had known that these redundancies were imminent they would not have issued a variation of conditions,” said Coleman.

But Khatri says Immigration did know.

“We have kept them [Immigration] fully informed,” claimed Khatri. “We have had a number of visits from the immigration authorities, we've kept them completely informed and I'm firmly of the view that we haven't done anything wrong here.”

The National Distribution Union says in other cases the Labour Department has approved visas despite being categorically told Kiwis are available to do the work.

Ang news item na ito ay story tungkol sa mga nag-rereklamong mga kiwi na na-tangalan ng trabaho, at may mga naiwang mga pinoy. Ang isip ng mga kiwi ay mas-magaling sila, kaya bakit sila ang natanggal? Syempre, mas mataas ang sweldo niyo, at kung kaya naman gawin ng iba na mas-mababa ang sahod, eh bakit di kayo tatangalin? At siguro yung attitude na rin, may mga kiwi na ayaw ng OT at mag-trabaho ng weekend.

Paalala sa mga Filipino na nag-babalak pumunta dito, via tourist visa, or thru agency, sa ngayon mahirap na makakuha ng work permit sa NZ. Kung matulungan man kayo ng agency, isipin niyo rin na walang kasiguraduhan ang pag-renew ng permit na yan.... So yung ginastos niyo, hindi niyo pa mababawi, ay baka mapa-uwi na kayo.... Ang tingin ko, wait na lang muna..... at gaganda rin ang sitwasyon..... Ang bali-balita ay may mga napapa-uwi na ..... hindi na na-renew ang work permit, kung na renew man ay six months to 1 year na lang..... Hindi nila i-consider yung mga ginastos natin. Companies who have application for jobs with migrants are being told to look for kiwis first.

NEW DELHI (CNN) -- Villagers in eastern India burned eight suspected robbers alive and beat four others to death, police said Thursday.

Harinarayan Ram Mahli, deputy superintendent of police in the Jharkhand state, told CNN that an investigation was continuing into an attack that followed a robbery in a remote village of the Pakur district Wednesday night.

Crowds of villagers beat four suspected robbers to death after a chase and set fire to the house where eight others took shelter, he explained, killing them as well.

No arrests have been made so far, according to the police

Armourguard driver robbed of $200,000 at gunpoint

An armed man stole more than $200,000 from an Armourguard security van late yesterday afternoon, police said.

The money was taken at gunpoint from the van, which was outside a BNZ branch in Manukau City.

The gunman threatened the Armourguard driver at 5.22pm as he was about to put six bank bags into the security van, having just left the bank on the corner of Great South Road and Ronwood Avenue, Detective Senior Sergeant Dave Pizzini said.

The money was inside five large black bank bags and one large orange bank bag.

The alleged offender then got into a stolen 1998 white Subaru Impreza WRX sedan driven by another person, which had been parked in the BNZ customer carpark.

This car, with the registration number END922, was stolen from a public carpark in the old Papatoetoe shopping centre at about 4.45pm yesterday, Mr Pizzini said.

Counties Manukau Detectives would like to hear from anyone who saw the car immediately before or after the robbery. The public are also being asked to keep an eye out for the bank bags.

In our almost 4 years here in NZ, This is the 1st time i've read about a holdup on an armoured van, sa tutoo lang, mga matanda nga ang nangunguha o nagdadala ng pera sa bangko. Wala pa ngang mga baril! Signs of the times???? Here in NZ, madalas kang makabasa nowadays ng mga nagsasarang mga companya or how many ang naging redundant.... Sa kaso naman ng mga pinoy na may work visa, halos doble na ang tagal ng pag process ng papers nila. Gone are the days na basta't may work visa ka na, halos automatic ang approval. Ngayon ay tinitignan na ng immigration kung may kiwi na pwedeng ipalit. They call this labour market research. Ang balita ngayon ay ang mga care-giver ay may napapa-uwi na. Kawawa naman, gastos ng kalahating milyon, tapos hindi na ma-renew yung visa. Sa aming company meeting ay re-shuffle pa lang naman ang naging solusyon ng management. Maraming mga company ay solustion ang pag-tanggal ng trabahador. Sana matapos na ang recession na ito.

Follow up sa nangyaring holdapan.... nakita na yung getaway vehicle. Pero, wala pang idea kung sino ang gumawa. Abangan... kung mahuhuli.

Anong gagawin mo kung may nag-alok sa iyo ng kotse???? Kung sa pinas yan Tanggapin ko kaagad, pero kung nan-dito ka sa NZ, mag-isip isip ka. So, sa tingin niya ok na rin, basta't nagkaruon siya ng kotse at mabawasan naman ang hirap niya pag-travel. pero, meron pa change oil nga pala.... duon kami nagkakilala. Unang gawa ko bago mag-change oil is check up muna yung car, This would tell me and the owner ano pa ang dapat gawin. I discovered na walang tubig ang radiator. Not a good sign, still lagyan ko muna ng tubig. After road test and diagnosis.... gagatos siya ng kulang kulang $ 2,000.00 para ma replace ang cylinder head gasket. plus yung registro hindi pala nabayaran for two years, so yung 180 something if for the previous year yon, so registro niya expired pa rin. Not worth to fix na. Binalik na lang nya, kahit nagka gastos gastos niya.

Kahit bigay lang, better to have the car check before making any payments.

Teen attempts suicide to give liver to dying father

BEIJING, China (CNN) -- A 13-year-old Chinese girl tried to commit suicide because she wanted her family to donate her liver to her cancer-stricken father, state media reported Thursday.

The girl, Chen Jin, swallowed more than 200 sleeping pills after she discovered a medical note in her mother's purse that said her father was dying of liver cancer and had three months left to live, the news agency Xinhua said.

Jin's mother returned home after visiting her husband in the hospital to find the front door locked. The mother climbed in through a back window and found two empty bottles of sleeping pills.

"Mom, I'm sorry I couldn't stay with you any longer," read a note that the teen had left next to her. "Please give my liver to dad and save him after my death."

The incident occurred January 24 in Jiangsu province in east China. The teen was taken to the same hospital as her father, where she remains in intensive care, drifting in and out of consciousness, Xinhua said.

Doctors say that even if she pulls through, she will need surgery for burns she suffered from an electric blanket on her bed when she lost consciousness, the China Daily newspaper said.

According to Chinese media reports, the family -- whose monthly income is about 1,000 yuan ($146) -- has already spent nearly 100,000 yuan ($14,600) in medical expenses since the father was diagnosed with cancer more than a month ago. The mother, who is also in poor health, retired early more than eight years ago.

Di naman ako nakulong... Ang tinutukoy ko ay yung pag-drive tuwing lumalabas kaming pamilya. Syempre kailangan lalaki mag-drive. Last Saturday na-pass na ni mackie ang practical exam para sa restricted license niya. That means he can drive himself, his family or other person but over the age of 25. So syempre ganado pa siya..... drive niya kami....

See... hindi naman kami ninenerbyos.... nakatulog pa nga syobe.

Pwede na ako mag-picture picture....Careful.... Big Brother is watching.....

I remember when i started to drive i drove for my father, punta kami ng Luneta, jogging jogging. Tapos punta ng arranque, mamalengke at pagka-tapos kain ng lomi. Sarap! Which brings me to a question, kailan namin papayagan siyang mag-drive mag-isa. He's legally entitled to do so but as a parent ang hirap din, not that we don't trust him, kaya lang minsan may wrong judgement pa rin siya sa pagmamaneho and that we fear would result in an accident. Lalo na tayo sa NZ kung nakikita natin yung commercial na may mama na naka-upo sa intersection na may rouleta. Isip isip pa..... lalo na by the end of the month, pa-pasok na siya ng Lincoln University.

sa ngayon, pinapayagan namin siya mag-drive ng solo pa-pasok sa mcdo.

Annual event ito, which features comics, acrobats and comedians come to christchurch city to try to make people laugh, and all you have to do is watch them and if you enjoy them is give what you can. Kite festival naman is held sa New brighton beach, syempre kite flying. It is also an annual event.

A TOWNSVILLE man has been sacked for `un-Australian' toilet habits.

Amador Bernabe, 43, uses water to clean himself instead of toilet paper.

Mr Bernabe, a machine operator on a working visa from the Philippines, said it was his culture.

But on Thursday he got the shock of his life when his foreman followed him into the toilet questioning his toilet hygiene.

Mr Bernabe said his employer Townsville Engineering Industries (TEI) sacked him yesterday for not going to the toilet the Australian way.

TEI, which is located at the Bohle, could not be reached for comment yesterday.

The move has angered union bosses and politicians on the Australia Day weekend.

"I went to go to the toilet and I took a bottle of water when my foreman saw me and he said `you can't bring the water in there'," Mr Bernabe said.

"I asked why and he said it wasn't good but I said it's our way and he followed me into the toilet.

"I said it's my personal hygiene. I didn't break any law, I didn't break any rules of the company, why can't I do this, and he said he would report me to the manager.

"The next morning when I came in I went to punch my time card and he told me the manager wanted to talk to me in his office.

"He asked me what had happened and I explained to him and he said if I didn't follow the Australian way I would be immediately terminated and I said `sir, then you better terminate me'."

MANILA, Philippines – Saying his actions were merely a result of an “emotional outburst," actor Philip Salvador on Thursday apologized for hitting a bus driver during a road altercation along EDSA in Mandaluyong City on Wednesday morning.

Interviewed over radio dzBB, Salvador, however, clarified that he was issuing his apology not to driver Michael Baino but to the public and to the passengers inside the bus.

"Hindi ko pinagmamalaki ang ginawa ko. Mali iyon. Outburst iyon [I am not proud of what I did. That was wrong. It was an outburst]," Salvador said.

Salvador said that being a Catholic, he really regretted how he reacted to the incident but said he just got worried for the safety of his family, who were with him when the road incident happened.

"May kamalian din ako inaamin ko iyon… sa ibang pasahero ng bus, paulit-ulit akong humihingi ng tawad, pero pamilya ko ang kasama ko [I know I erred when I acted that way. To all the passengers, I would like to say sorry, but I was just worried for my family]," he said.

According to Salvador, the altercation happened about 10:30 a.m. along EDSA corner Boni Avenue when the bus being driven by Michael Baino allegedly crossed the yellow lane and hit the side mirror of Salvador’s silver gray car (XSR-910).

"Lumampas iyong ulo ng bus sa yellow lane. Lumabas ako. Sabi ko, ‘Ano ka ba, papatayin mo ba kami? [The bus crossed the yellow lane. I went out and told him, ‘Are you trying to kill us?’]," Salvador recounted.

The actor said Baino replied that he did not see Salvador’s car while he was maneuvering his bus. Salvador went out of the car and tried hitting the driver through the bus window.

Salvador then boarded the bus and hit Baino in the head and threw a single punch to the driver’s forehead. The actor stressed that contrary to earlier reports, he did not maul the bus driver.

No apology from driver

"Nasaktan ko nga siya. Nabatukan ko siya at nasuntok ko siya isang beses sa noo ata. Pero kung binugbog ko siya wasak ang mukha niya," he said.

["I did not hear him say ‘sorry.’ The driver claimed he kept on apologizing. But he didn’t. He just wanted to get money from actors."]

A traffic enforcer stepped in the altercation and issued a traffic ticket only to Baino. Salvador clarified that he did not demand the traffic enforcer at the scene to issue the driver a ticket.

The enforcer volunteered to issue a traffic citation ticket because he personally witnessed that the bus had gone out of the yellow lane, according to Salvador.

The actor said that with the string of road mishaps that bus companies had recently been involved in, bus drivers should take extra precaution to ensure the safety of their passengers.

It is a modern brick house with three living rooms and four bedrooms in a pleasant Christchurch suburb and it is probably the cheapest house in New Zealand.

The Redwood home could be yours for a little more than $100, despite its rating value of $594,000.

The most the lucky buyer will pay is $1100.

Real estate agent Brad Maxwell and wife Janice own the Redwood property through a family trust and are selling it through a new sales method they hope will catch on.

Would-be buyers will book a seat at an internet auction for $100 each, with the lowest unique bid between 1c and $1000 getting the house.

The Maxwells have ensured they will not lose out on the deal. They have calculated that selling between 5000 and 6000 seats will bring in what they want for their home, and only then will the online auction run.

If they sell too few seats, they will cancel the auction and refund everyone's money.

Brad Maxwell believes the auction would fill up in 30 days, with the first seats already sold.

People could buy more seats to boost their chances, he said.

"This is a genuine auction. We are not here to rip anybody off. The intention of this exercise is to sell the property at market value," he said.

While the scheme sounds like a lottery or a raffle, Maxwell insists it is not. He has not appointed an independent overseer, but has checked the legality of the scheme and will make the auction records available for audit.

No-one connected to his family or business, low-fees agency Premier Realty, would be allowed to bid.

"There won't be any phantom bids or dodgy bids or vendor bids. We want everything to be transparent and above board. I'm happy to be questioned by anyone," he said.

Maxwell has spent several months and tens of thousands of dollars developing the scheme and a website. He said he had seen other types of low-bid auctions in other countries, but believed he was breaking new ground.

He hoped the idea would catch on and change the way real estate was marketed in New Zealand.

House-hunters on the Trade Me website, where the auction is advertised, posted mixed feelings on the scheme.

One described the scheme as smart, some found it confusing, another called it "just a coin toss".

Some were already plotting their bids, with one estimating the winning bid would be under $26 and another estimating it as less than $15.

Property author and commentator Kieran Trass said he loved the idea.

"With the property market in the state that it currently is, what can you do to sell a property?" he said.

"This is really innovative. It's a different way of doing things in a different market. He might create a new method of selling."

Trass said he was considering buying into the auction.

He believed Maxwell could struggle to get enough bidders to make the scheme work, "but I could be wrong".

"Compare it with Lotto and the odds look great," he said.

Real Estate Institute president Mike Elford had not heard of the scheme before being contacted by The Press, but said that as Maxwell was selling his own house, "I guess he can do what he wants".

"The only thing the Real Estate Institute would be concerned about, if it becomes widespread, was that the public wasn't disadvantaged," he said.

May nakilala kasi ako na nan-dito sa NZ on a tourist visa, na-sponsor kasi siya ng biyenen niya. Actually welder siya, which is a skilled trade here. Kaya lang wala naman mag-bigay ng job offer sa kanya. May nalapitan na kami pero ayaw mag-lakad ng papel ng companya. May nag-bigay ng job offer sa kanya nitong huli as car groomer, pero sa sitwasyon ngayon sa NZ malabo na siya makakuha ng work visa. Mag-iisang taon na siya dito. Kaya baka sinumang may alam na trabaho sa farm at pwede mag bigay ng job offer sa kanya. Tulungan na lang natin siya. Mabait at masipag naman. Di tayo mapapahiya. Wala siyang experience sa farm maliban sa pag-aalaga ng baboy sa Pinas pero willing naman siya matuto magkaruon lang ng pagkakataon na makapag-trabaho dito.

Trip to Dunedin

We went to dunedin last Dec. on the 29th. 2 days and 1 night. It was a hassle free trip. It took only 4 1/2 hrs. with stop overs. The road was good, not much over the mountains and zigzag road, so it was not so tiring for the drivers. We went with the Magno family, they have a GPS so no more looking over the map. And they have a friend over there. Si joel, which made us easy to go around places to look and visit. Pag-dating pa lang ay gulat na kami ang laki pala ng Dunedin. The city stands on the hills and valleys surrounding the head of Otago Harbour. The harbour and hills are the remnants of an extinct volcano. Take a look here http://pisacen68.multiply.com/photos. Maybe next time kayo naman ang dumalaw sa dunedin. May mga di kami napuntahan coz' kapos na sa oras, so kami rin maybe next time uli.

Christmas season here in christchurch starts with coca cola presents concert at the park... starts at 7 pm till about 10 plus.... this year punta kami......Ok naman siya.... Good music... entertaining... After the music... may santa at may fireworks, but cuz' it's just held in hagley park, you have to be a bit early to get a good view. 3pm pa lang nanduon na kami and we ended up having a good looking at the wide video monitor all night, and that was when nobody was walking past us, which was never... So next year malamang sa TV na lang kami....delayed nga lang.

Sa dala ng matinding pangangailangan....... si caloy namasada ng kanyang jeep, kahit alam niyang konti lang ang kikitain, kahit hating gabi, bastat may pandagdag lang....... Pa-uwi na siya, wala siyang sakay, ang daan na tinatahak niya ay isang madilim na highway at may dadaanan siyang sementeryo. Habang malapit na siya sa sementeryo may na-aninag siyang kumakaway sa kanya, NAKAPUTI ! Kinabahan siya, ngunit dahil na nga sa pangangailangan, hinintuan niya, pag-sakay ng babae sa dulo ng dyip umupo at di naman ito nag-salita. Pinatakbo na ni caloy ang dyip, Sa isip niya bilisan ko para makarating agad ako sa bayan. Sinilip ni caloy sa pamagitan ng likod salamin ng dyip. Di niya makita ang mukha, natakpan ng mahabang buhok ang mukha. Lalo siyang kinabahan..... Binilisan pa niya lalo ang patakbo ng sasakyan niya. Pinag-papawisan na siya ng malamig. Eto na malapit na kami sa bayan, isip ni caloy, sa jeepney stop, hinto siya. Laking gulat niya!!!! May dugo na sa kanyang balikat at yung babae nasa likod na niya!!!!! Dali dali siyang tumakbo papa-labas, at iniwan ang kanyang dyip. Halos hingalin sa kakatakbo, Hinahabol siya!!!! School Break

School Break na ng mga bata.One week na nga, kaya isang linggo na lang ang bakasyon nila, ano ba pinag gagawa nila,

well si mackie humataw sa trabaho, 7 days yata ang pasok niya, nagustuhan na niya mag trabaho sa mcdo. Gagawin na kasi daw siyang shift manager. "Anong gawain ng shift manager?" tanong ni syobe, sagot ko lahat ng shift papasukan niya. Sa tutoo lang, ganadong pumasok si mackie sa trabaho, ayaw nga ma-late. 1.5 hrs pa uma-alis na sa bahay. Pero sabi ni misis tumatakas lang yan sa pag-gagarden. Ok lang mag-work siya pero payo namin sa kanya priority ang pag-aaral niya, lalo next year papasok na siya sa university.

Gusto na makabili ng kotse.

Si Aldrin naman, kasama ni malou sa trabaho niya, pang-gabi. Kaya di ko siya masyado nakikita, Si Syobe lang ang naabutan ko dito sa bahay. Watch lang TV at X-box, Magaling na nga mag-drifting sa TV. Talo ako!

Balak ko nga sana mag-bakasyon this coming week, para gimik naman sana kami ng kids, pero 3 na yata nakakuha ng vacation. Siguro sa weekends na lang or call in sick sa friday.

What's worth mentioning this week is the effect of oil price hikes, nag protesta na rin mga truck drivers, pero sans mga red banners and mega phones, drive lang sila around the cities di lang sa Christchurch, sa iba't ibang cities around NZ.

After more than 2 years, i finally crossed over. Yun ang tawag nila kung nagpalit ka ng shift, crossing over. I started monday. From 7:30 to about 4:00 pm. So far, so good. Medyo mahirap ang work pero ok na rin. Masasanay din ako siguro. Unang pinagawa sa akin, truck ng basura. May kasama pang laman. Ayaw nga ipasok sa Workshop. Kaya duon ako nag-trabaho sa labas. Ok rin naman di gaanong sumikat ang araw. Buti na lang maliit na truck lang siya. Nagpalit ako ng clutch sa transmission. Di naman ako nag-isa, may mga nahuhulog na uod. Nalaman ko na magots pala tawag nila. Panay bola nga sa akin, thank you daw at good work daw. ayon kay bisor " It's not everyday you get to do a shit truck." ano ibig niya sabihin? magpa-salamat ako sa kanya? Anyway, saa tuwa nila at ginawa ko yon, aba nag-bigay ng sobre si service manager! Di nga pula, di nila alam siguro ang angpao. Daan nga ng BK para meryenda namin. hehehe. At least pwede na siguro ako mag-side line. Kahit pa change oil change oil lang.

Pinuntahan namin uli yung naging camp site nila syobe at yung mga pinuntahan nila. Sayang at umuulan kaya di kami naakapag-hiking or river crossing. Now alam na nila ang dinanas namin ni syobe. Marami nga nag-camping duon.

All intermediate Schools here have camping. So si Syobe naman this time. Dati si Aldrin. And since they need parent volunteers to watch over the kids..... and since syobe asked for a chaperone....... why not?..... time for father and daughter bonding......

Dito sila nag camp. Maybe an hr from Christchurch. It was an old school na binili ng Branston ( school ni syobe ) just for camping trips. Mas-makaka-tipid daw sila.

This is the old school building. It used to have 2 classrooms. But now it's just a hall. Nandyan din ang kitchen.

Dito sila natulog. Sa mga tents.

They did a lot of activities....

Playing in the trampaulin..

Or just having a quiet time.

But syempre may chores din sila. The classroom was divided into 4 groups. At a certain time may gawain sila...

Picking up garbage.

Marami pang iba. Like doing dishes, setting and cleaning tables. Meron pang cleaning the toilet. Mga gawaing di nila ginagawa sa bahay.

May school time din, they make a diary of where they have been for that day.

And syempre, chow time.

All in all 4 days and 3 nights kami duon. Masaya at mahirap din. Ang reklamo lang ng mga bata puro lakad balikan mga 10 kms. ang lakad. kaya hingal din pati ako. Pero ok lang, Dito nakita ko ang iba't ibang ugali ng mga bata. Tahimik, maggulo, mabait, makulit. I'm sure glad camping happens just once a year! Maybe next year si misis naman ang mag-volunteer.

Discipline is vital but that just doesn't punishment. Be consistent - that helps children develop self control. Living accordingly to the calues you preach to them.

Don't waste time and energy trying to create a perfect child.

Don't damage their self-esteem by criticising their effort too often. Insecure adults, however successful, often had parents who were controlling, competitive and judgemental.

Respect their individuality, especially those characteristics that make your children different from you. Don't reject them - that feeds self hatred.

Spend time together. Eat your evening meal together as often as possible. Involve your children in as manay ritual as possible. Worship, sports, visit to grandparents, birthday celebrations, family get-togethers.

Umpisa na naman ng mga klase ng mga bata, pero wednesday ay holiday dito. Sina macky at aldrin sa thursday pa regular classes nila. Si macky year 13 na, ( last year of high school dito ) si Aldrin year 11. And si syobe year 7 na. Lumipat na si syobe dito malapit sa aming bahay. Branston Intermediate school ang pinapasukan na niya. Mag-kaklase sila ni matthew.

Depende na rin sa clinic kung may addt'l cost sila na pababayaran sa iyo. pero mura lang naman din. Si macky nga tinahi dahil sa kakulitan $19.00 lang ang binayad. Me, i was on leave for 10 days. Kasi sabi ng doctor ay puwede ako light duties, sabi naman ng manager ko wala naman light duties sa trabaho ko, hindi na ako nag-prisinta para mag-walis-walis. God works in mysterious was...... I was feeling down when i got injured during basketball practice. Yun ang favorite past time ko kasi, lalo na may tournament kaming sinalihan this coming feb......

( Torn ligament on the small finger. Wala naman ginawa ang doctor, kung hindi wrap around adhesive; It will heal in 2 weeks. )

Anyway, the real story is next day i receive an email titled, " Prayer for Reuben So Jr. "

Ruben So Jr. was involved in an accident the other day in Araneta Avenue last January 8. He is now in the neuro icu in Chinese Gen.Please pray for a swift recovery and that there will be no complications.Reports from last night indicates that he is improving, neuro and pulmo wise. They hope to remove the respiration tube in a few days.They are also preparing for surgery to repair the face and eyes. Ruben is from a lower batch than us but those who have joined the boy scouts / girl scouts should know him. Also those who have kids studying in Grace should also know or at least see him regularly as he has been working for the school.We're also soliciting donations to help defray for the hospital expenses. That was how the Cube as a puzzle, was invented in the spring of 1974, when the twenty-nine year old Rubik discovered it was not so easy to realign the colors to match on all six sides. He was not sure he would ever be able to return his invention to its original position. He theorized that by randomly twisting the Cube he would never be able to fix it in a lifetime, which later turns out to be more than correct. He began working out a solution, starting with aligning the eight corner cubies. He discovered certain sequences of moves for rearranging just a few cubies at a time. Within a month, he had the puzzle solved and an amazing journey lay ahead..

Last day na, before start of our work year.... Saan pupunta.... Cherry Picking.... I admit di ko masyado type kumain ng cherries.... pero when i tasted them fresh..... SARAP!!!! Only about 30mins. from our place... a private cherry farm. PYO siya, pick your own. $12.00 per kilo pero walang entrance. Sa iba $ 8.00 per kilo, pero may $3.00 entrance. Libre tikim lang daw. Sabi nga nung may-ari, " your not here for lunch " pero wala namang bantay, kaya kain lang to your heart's content. Huwag lang kain sobra baka makiki-gamit ka na ng CR. hehehe...

Although bayanihan can manifest itself in many forms, -- working together in a happy and festive mood. At the end of the day, the moving family expresses their gratitude by hosting a small fiesta for everyone.

I am glad that bayanihan made it to this part of New Zealand. Nakagawa kami ng lamesa, bangko at basketball court ( on going ). With Maestro JD, supervisor Amado ( barbeque specialist na rin ), official photographer Dobbie, helpers: Jacinto Leo and me. Syempre mga girls did all the cooking. We did the all in 1 day! Wood was donated from work Blackwells. Marami pa nga. Dito napatunayan ko na di lang pala sa ginhawa ang grupo na ito. Sa mga iba kasamahan namin, i know tutulong din kayo kung nasabihan lang kayo. Maybe Next time. I think Project this week from the wood left is to make something in Amado's house. Syempre, after that Kainan na naman! Ganyan lang kami dito, tulong tulong, mahal kasi labor dito..... Malaking ginhawa na rin kung mapag-tutulungan ang mga gawain. Tayo kaya kami ng samahan..... hmmmm?

SULAT NI TATAY AT NANAY

Sa aking pagtanda, unawain mo sana ako at pagpasensiyahan.
Kapag dala ng kalabuan ng mata ay nakabasag ako ng pinggan o nakatapon ng sabaw sa hapag-kainan,
huwag mo sana akong kagagalitan. Maramdamin ang isang matanda.
Nagse-self-pity ako tuwing sisigawan mo ako.

Kapag mahina na ang tenga ko at hindi ko maintindihan ang sinasabi mo,
huwag mo naman sana akong sabihan ng bingi,
pakiulit na lang ang sinabi mo o pakisulat na lang.

Pasensya ka na, anak. Matanda na talaga ako
Kapag mahina na ang tuhod ko,
pagtiyagaan mo sana akong tulungang tumayo,
katulad ng pag-aalalay ko sa iyo noong nag-aaral ka pa lamang lumakad.

I guess this is the hope of all parents; So i'm putting this on my blog for my kids to see. This is the measure of sucess for any parent, that when the times comes that we are not able to take care of ourselves, our kids are there for us, just as when we were there for them. To us parents, the way we treat our children is the way they'll gonna treat us when were old.
